ECDIS training accredited

We are proud to announce that our internal training center was officially accredited July 2013 to run the ECDIS IMO model course 1.27 in compliance with the latest law and legislation. We received an official ‘Letter of Recognition’ from the Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment, the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate (de inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport).

We are one of the first companies in the maritime sector that also offers training in addition to navigation and communication equipment. We offer a total solution when it comes to navigation and communication on board ships or in the offshore industry. We supply products, install the equipment ready for operation and ensure that our customer knows how to use it.

Training options
The JRC/Alphatron Marinen training center can offer the full range of ECDIS training, both generic and type-specific (for different brands). The generic training is given at our headquarters in Rotterdam under the supervision of specialist ECDIS trainers. A type specific training can take place on board worldwide, at our office or at a location of choice in combination with our mobile classroom.

All training is carried out on individual simulators and supplemented with theory syllabuses. Participants can test all the competencies they learn on the special bridge simulator with complete navigation functionality at out headquarters in Rotterdam. In our training we always make use of the very latest equipment that our customers also use on board. We also offer product training at operational and technical level for the equipment supplied by us.
