JRC tree lighting at Mitaka factory

Tokyo, Japan, 10 November 2014 – We are pleased to inform that the annual tree lighting ceremony took place today at the entrance of the Mitaka factory.

The Himalayan cedars standing at the entrance of the JRC Mitaka plant have been there since the very beginning, when we first opened our doors in 1938. Not only to the JRC employees, but also for the local community these two trees became a symbolic part of their lives. A total of 20,000 white LED will light up the tree, everyday from 5pm to 10pm.

Next year we expect that the various JRC marine departments will complete the move to other factories and locations in and out of Tokyo. Additionally, our company will celebrate its 100 years anniversary next year. We would like to stand still and show our gratitude to the local community who have seen JRC grow for the past 75 years to a global and renowned industry standard maritime equipment manufacturer.

By all means if you are visiting us or passing by, please enjoy the fabulous lighting display. The tree will remain lit and can be viewed until 10pm on 27 December 2014.
