Bridge solution for double ended ferry

Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 23 December 2014 – JRC and Alphatron Marine introduces vessel specific bridge for the public transport market. Based on the successful AlphaBridge tugboat design, builders and designers of double ended ferries, will appreciate the thoughtful new integrated approach, tailored directly to these operations.

The majority of double ended ferries operate on short routes with numerous docking/undocking procedures every day. When this type of working environment can be quite stressful, taking good care of the wheelhouse and its safety considerations for all round visibility and ship control is important without compromise.

Our ergonomically designed AlphaBridge concept, with a track record of more than 350 realized installations, is based on a unique and modular bridge console concept. We work with the best possible high-quality materials and short delivery time. With our years of experience, we take away any concerns our customers may have and maintain all contact with subcontractors if required.

In addition to key navigation sensors and controls always being within easy reach, the Alphabridge ferry variant also offers a variety of pilot chair options. From fixed to electrically controlled with slide and 180° rotation, with or without built-in controls, the perfect design is available for all.
