JRC launches compact GPS

Tokyo, Japan, 9 July – Japan Radio Co., Ltd. (JRC) has announced the introduction the JLR-7600 GPS navigator. Delivering high accuracy performance in a new compact design that ensures easy and straightforward operation.

The unit incorporates many displays modes readily available on a clear 4.5-inch display. The display is aesthetically designed and can be built in to an integrated bridge without the need for an additional frame. This new form factor makes it not only a solution for smaller ships but also for a bridge wing, in the captain’s cabin or in the engine room of large ships.

The new GPS makes planning long distance routes highly effective, with up to 1,000 waypoints that can be stored in the internal memory. The GPS sensor has been well proven in the market. This cost-effective solution will compliment and run in parallel with the JLR-7500 model using a 5.7-inch display.
