JRC updates speed log with new display

Tokyo, Japan, 9 July – Japan Radio Co., Ltd. (JRC) has announced the introduction of the JLN-205Mk2 that continues the decades long success of the JLN single axis speed log family. The JLN-205Mk2 will offer the same stable and highly accurate measurement capabilities to ensure accurate speed data.

The unified display design assists in easier operation and familiarity between other JRC navigational displays. Besides the display being fully dimmable and having backlit keys, it features dual LED backlight (white and orange), making it easy to operate in various light settings on the bridge.

The transducer is directly connected to the processor, allowing for the electronics to be mounted in a more conducive environment with regard to vibration and humidity. This provides for minimal signal loss and cable length can be extended to hundreds of meters. Connected to the processor is the signal distribution box which outputs the speed data to various equipment, such as a second display, radar and ECDIS.
